>>38267452I like this theory a lot because it supports the headcanon that early pokedex entries were simply fantasies written by the first few people that witnessed the mons' power (something hotter than the surface of the sun something).
But I also like the headcanon that I found somewhere on this board that says that each time a legendary shows up in a game, they're simply "manifesting a small part of themselves that humans can comprehend", which is why there can be multiple of the same legendary and they can be captured with regular pokeballs.
