>>55559561I've been skipping Pokemon games for a decade now. I bought everything from Gen 1 through Gen 6. X/Y were so atrocious I told myself I'd never buy a Pokemon game blind again, and everything I've hated about Gen 6 is still in every following game.
It's all for the better. I've been enjoying other JRPGs and older Gen Pokemon more since I now have something actually shit to compare them to. Gen 6+ Pokemon being dogwater has given me perspective on what makes a JRPG good.
