Usually, gacha players are okay when devs pull this shit as long as the game is already GOOD. If they are happy and get enough satisfaction from it as is, f2p players will shrug it off and not think it's a big deal while the whales go do their thing.
This happens in Genshin, Idolmaster shiny colors, Granblue and more. People enjoy those games and thus are okay with the greedy shit they pull sometimes. Most people aren't that happy with masters and as a result won't react well to this shit. I want dena to make a excellent event that's memorable for once along with less droughts before i start to not roll my eyes at this shit. We still have entire weeks taken up by fucking eggs, it's so bad. The last event in this game that I thought was actually good was the fucking SS Elesa one. Doesn't help that the LA's keep getting fucking easier, Tapu Bulu was very disappointing. I haven't even mentioned the prestige garbage, it's gonna be 7 days of torture for whats probably 5 minutes of story and dialogue of Gloria.
