>>48896152this image is extremely misleading and cherrypicked. calyrex's story only gives you a basic understanding of what it is, it has bits of lore that you can find by exploring the crown tundra. one such example is calyrex turning blue instead of red when it dynamaxes, its never mentioned in the main story but you can find the answer in the crown tundra.
also what about zygarde who isnt mentioned in the XY main story but you can find if you go out of your way to look for it
same with necrozma and the tapus in SM
theres also a bunch of lore on typenull that you can only find if you read research notes
im unhappy with the story of the pokemon games because theyre bad, at best they were mediocre but they still do their worldbuilding and lore in the same way. just now instead theres usually the more hidden lore stuff isnt for the legendary that the narrative is focused on. and this is just personal opinion but i love what theyve done with the world and lore.
