One Pokegenned Pokemon with 31's across the board and one RNG'd/Bred Pokemon with perfect 31's look exactly the same, if you're competing you need legal stats and movesets so you can't Gen them and enter with 255 in every stat, batshit moves or wonderguard on every Poke.
The "bonding" argument is a load of shit as well, you can "bond" with your data through battling as well as running in circles in the subway hatching eggs too. In fact, as for myself I'd bond faster seeing my creations being useful rather than watching them defeat an infinite number of Litwick.
Many people have responsibilities outside of Pokemon and if they want to take a shortcut to get to part of the game they enjoy the most then let them. Their Gen'd Pokemon look and perform exactly the same as your RNG's/Bred ones and if you win or lose you will not be able to tell the difference.
