Ability: Renegade's Shadow---This Pokémon's body is partially comprised of antimatter shadows from the Distortion World. These shadows negate interactions with gravity and physical matter--causing this Pokémon to levitate above the ground and granting it immunity from all Physical Attacks.
Dex Entry: By shattering and consuming the Griseous Core which grants Giratina its Origin Forme, the Renegade Pokémon undergoes Idolous Convergence--a phenomenon unique to the Legendary Pokémon of Sinnoh Mythology. A power likened to Mega Evolution, Idolous Convergence is said to transform Pokémon into beings of untold, infinite power by drawing from the souls of the faithful who cast praises into the heavens. For the legendary Giratina, Idolous Convergence attempts to combine the powers of its Altered and Origin Formes into a being with total dominion over distortion, spirit, and shadow. Interestingly, it is theorized that this isn't Giratina's original Idolous form. Rather, Giratina is forced into this warped state because the power of Idolous Convergence draws on humans' collective, underlying perception of it.
Giratina was once convinced by its siblings that their all-powerful maker had gone mad with power. Assuming its Idolous Forme, the Renegade Pokémon struck out against its creator but was defeated and undone. Giratina's creator then banished it to the Distortion World--not for its violence, but for allowing its siblings to so easily sway it into committing treachery--an act which revealed Giratina's underlying, distrustful nature. From its new home, Giratina would be charged with watching the word inverse to its own until it could learn to have faith in humans and Pokémon. Despite some successes, it still holds a grudge against the one who banished it
