>>55403281>Truth and Ideals are interchangeable philosophical conceptsNot when it comes to something as inherent to the world as day turning to night due to the rotation of the planet. Pokémon and humans are a symbiotic relationship, they made a whole game about sending a pokémon trainer back to an era of settlement, to teach the settlers that pokémon are not something to be feared, the natural order is pokémon working with humans to the betterment of each other. The problem is you're looking at this from a real world perspective, coloured by the biases of your view of our world (where they would be systemically exploited and abused for profit). the pokémon world is a utopia, they are a post-scarcity society and even their wars show humans fighting alongside their pokémon (instead of drone-zard strikes like the US would be pulling with humans safe from afar), inferring that yes the people fighting have the respect, friendship and/or love of their pokémon charges, because NO pokémon does something a human wants it to unless it in some way has an affiliation to the human.
You can sperg about how either viewpoint works, but this isn't a pseudo-intellectual teenage JRPG, it's a kiddy moncap JRPG and as shown most recently with SV, there's no hidden meaning to this shit, because 7 year olds, who the games are made for, WILL miss it if unless they're bashed over the head with it. And every kid is told starting off humans and pokémon work together as both help each other to improve.
