I had a friend when I was a kid. We changed schools a lot back then. We met in first or second grade and hit it off quick, but shit went to hell in a handbasket around fourth and fifth grade. In fourth grade, he transferred to this school I was going to, because we changed schools after second grade. He got in trouble a lot all year just trying to make friends and get along. I was happy to have him there at first but after a while it just went to shit.
One day, he got in trouble for something, I don't know what it was, maybe it was bringing the card's to school in and of itself, but his father made him stand up in front of the class and throw them away (I can't remember if he destroyed them first or not) in front of everyone. And me and the entire rest of the class and the teacher watched in silence as this display continued. It was fucked.
I had to ride home with him that day. We went to his mom's house (his mom and dad were separated) but she wasn't home. She was such a nice lady, but his dad was on some other shit, IDK what his deal was. Anyway as soon as we got home, the dude made us throw away all of my friend's cards AGAIN. The one's he brought to school were gone, so we rounded up EVERY loose card he had in his room bagged them up and threw them in the garbage bin outside.
I remember telling my mom about it when I got home and talking about what a waste it was. I was half-joking when I said I wish I could have kept them instead. At least I think I was half joking. I think I remember knowing that wasn't possible and wouldn't have happened. My mom said
>Anon, that shit is cursed. Don't fuck around with anything that's cursed. And that shit stayed with me to this day. What a horrible fucking year that was.
