Even ignoring the Battle Frontier
Emerald
>Let you catch Groudon and Kyogre, and HeartGold and Soul Silver let you catch both Ho-Oh and Lugia (though you could technically do that in Gold and Silver to begin with but why go back 2 steps anyway?) in their games so there's no reason you can't be allowed to have both box legends in each version of ORAS either
>Incorporated both Aqua and Magma's shenanigans in the plot along with Kyogre vs. Groudon + Rayquaza's Wild Ride, which could have looked pretty sick as hell in 3D, seriously getting all of this in 3D was like the main point of Hoenn Remakes, why the fuck would you not include it?
>Let you rebattle Gym Leaders, what the fuck even X/Y let you do this
>speaking of Gym Leaders, ORAS didn't copy over Emerald's superior versions of Leader's teams or Emerald versions of trainers in general
>I actually like the surplus of Double Battles you could encounter ingame that Emerald added over R/S too
I don't think Emerald, HGSS, or even Platinum and B2W2 created some impossible standard but come on, that shit up above should just be common place for remakes/revised versions of Pokemon games.
Then there's shit like nerfing Mauville by turning into a screen changing mall, which is a pain in the ass for breeding since the Daycare is next door, unlike how easy it was for RSE. Nerfing the New Mauville AND Abandoned Ship dungeons, and replaced with them with Sea Mauville when we could have had both AND more. Handing you a Mega Evolving Lati@ before you even hit (well I'm not sure actually, I haven't played in a while) Winona.
There's some things liked like the revised Regi quest or DexNav, at least.
My main problem with ORAS that they're remakes of Ruby and Sapphire instead of being remakes of Ruby and Sapphire WITH additions from Emerald. While Crystal added little, what it had was still given to HGSS, the same should have happened with ORAS.
