Fairy is busted.
Offensively, it has godly coverage and cucks dark and fighting types without leaving a scratch on dragon types.
Defensively, it pretty much shuts down special attackers with even super effective coverage.
Almost all fairies are built the same right now
High special defense paired with good hp and special attack
With more variety in stat spreads, we're looking at all out bans on Pokemon with 600 but and under.
Imagine if Garchomp had been fairy all along instead of dragon. stats, abilities, and movepool stay the same, with the exception of its dragon type moves becoming fairy. other than that it has always been a fairy/ground type.
Imagine flawless stab, dragon immunity and coverage that one shots all of its threats in the switch in, such as banded Scizor or Mamoswine with fire blast. It could carry an entire team just with that typing alone. If you thought gen 4 Garchomp was scary, we could right now have a worse version of that right now if a fairy pseudo or glass canon was introduced.
Take any powerful mon of the current meta and you can make it op by making one of its types fairy and giving it a usable stab move:
