Is the Jigglypuff line supposed to be a parody of shitty/bland Japanese art? They appear in nearly the same place as Clefairy, another two-stage (later three) Normal sponge but are generally inferior gameplay wise. Contrast the Jigglypuff line eye designs with Clefairy and co. and there seems to be an obvious juxtaposition from obnoxious and ergonomic design. Making up for their lack of ability with overdrawn eyes that give me mean flashbacks to late 2000's and early 2010's anime girls; generic oversaturated ratings crap.
Jigglypuff's design might be some kind of play on shitty run-of-the-mill Japanese idols, as they put their opponents to sleep (like a bad actress/singer). Clefairy comes from the fucking moon AND learns Sing. How can Jigglybros even compete?
