When gen 1 was new, my first playthough I named all my pokes after 80's bands. Charmander - Firehouse, Fearow - Tears for Fears, etc. If I couldn't think up a fitting name for it or its evolutions, I wouldn't allow myself to catch it. It couldn't just be any random 80's band, it had to fit the poke in some way. Literally spent hours trying to think of a good name for mons I really wanted, then spent more time making sure the name wouldn't be more fitting for another mon I knew I would want later.
