From BW to ORAS he did an outstanding job that for me personally puts him above Masuda when it comes to pokemon music. Of course, he realized early that the franchise was turning into a cesspit and that his body of work would be overwhelmed under the corporate shilling and never take proper centerstage, leaving all his creative efforts to be wasted by others, so he left to go indie, which is a shame but also understandable since it was obviously Game Freak's fault for not recognising him fully.
