Thing is, it was keeping a lot of very strong Power-reliant decks like Deluge in check, and now that check has gone, Deluge is obviously even stronger when it was already the joint best deck with Gardevoir-Gallade (which requires a lot more skill to operate. Most people play it wrong and get steamrolled. Just like in Modified, Deluge plays itself here so it's hard to go wrong.)
One of the revenge killers that is commonly used is Plasma Leafeon (pic related) but that starts causing overcentralization in the same way that it does in the video games (see also Sableye being the only good counter to Mega Kangaskhan and even then it's not great) and you honestly wonder if it's worth bothering.
