Even though N believed in a lie, he fought for it like a motherfucking badass. He's literally the only npc in any pokemon game to win the trust of a legendary, even when he's been gaslit and manipulated. As for the "spergy" part, well, that being a bad thing is relative. I really liked how his personality reflected the fact that he was a feral child, pretty much raised by pokemon. You can't have a fucked up childhood like that and walk away from it with a normal personality.
