Looker shows up after and instructs Diamond to recruit Gardenia for their investigation of the Galactic building. After Halley mowed down her team, Gardenia ran ahead in shame and disappeared into the futuristic office. Diamond and Pearl run into a disguised Looker, then battle their way to the top floor, where they witness Commander Jupiter's Skuntank knocking out Gardenia and her Roserade. Also noticing Rad Rickshaw and several Pokemon held hostage, Pearl jumps into battle to protect Gardenia, but it quickly defeated. Diamond readies himself for battle as Looker pulls Pearl and Gardenia to safety.
>JupiterNova OHKOs Zubat with Spark, then switches out for Asteroid as Skuntank arrives. Both sides Screech at the other until Asteroid slings parts of his body at the skunk, as it jumps through each hit and slashes Asteroid's head. The dark energy disrupts Asteroid's mental connection with the Onix multiversal hive mind, and the rock snek dies. Nova is called upon again to finish the job, but is immediately cut down with a single Night Slash. With limited options to tank Skuntank's hits, Diamond sends out Ursa, who shirks off a slash and Headbutts the evil skunk into submission.
Not surprised that I lost some mons to Skuntank, though they weren't huge losses since I wasn't planning to use Steelix or a Rivalry Luxray. Up next are Rotom and guaranteed Gligar & Gible, so I'm excited to use those.
