>>56480008I was able to beat Elesa, but it was hard fought, everybody was on edge since I didn't have an anti-paralysis berry on Bobby the Umbreon. In order to save Spice the Charizard from getting killed after he got crit I switched in Bobby on an attack he couldn't tank for long enough to Res through when he was already asleep from an earlier rest.
I don't know if it was the right call since Spice doesn't have a lot of good future matchups, with how close I got to losing that was probably the wrong choice since Killer couldn't switch into Electabuzz without getting killed or me sacrificing a mon, forcing me to sacrifice Qui the Audino instead. Even then, Dwayne barely pulled out a win against her remaining pokemon, Emolga. If that flying rat Crit it might've been curtains.
Also for deaths you didn't see.
>Buddy the Roselia: Someone needed to clear Roxie's toxic spikes and he was the only poison type I had, got off two clutch worry seeds as well. Won the fight highhandedly with his contributions against Roxy.>Todd the Mankey: Another Roxie victim, stole her Trubbish's eviolite and had to e sacrificed in order to get a clean switch in. I thought he died to a wild Pokemon for some reason the last time I alluded to him.>Ziggy(female) the Zigzagoon: Caught in the outside portion of the Virbank Complex, died inside of the Virbank complex to the soon to be named Killer the Magby via crit.>>56485086Grass types kind of suck offensively and defensively, but in exchange they get great status moves. Wish they'd get better attacks and supportive movesets though, in my experience how good they are is pretty region dependent, especially since Gamefreak doesn't want them all to be leech seed + stall bots.
Of course this is weird balancing when comparing them to fire types who get a great defensive typing and are only hindered by their design focus on offense despite theoretically being good stallers even when mono-typed.
