- I want many complex routes that reward exploration and require thought to navigate, a return to gen 3/4 standard.
- Postgame is along the lines of the Sevii Islands.
- A new colour palette that's not eyesearing. Something that is visually appealing and complements the tone/theme of whatever the new region's tone/theme will be. Like the opposite of LGPE.
- I want new Pokemon models with an emphasis on expressing the unique personality of each Pokemon. Of course this is already done, I just want more of it.
If we have following Pokemon, the run for each Pokemon must express the nature of that Pokemon. For example, you should be able to outrun a Caterpie (like in LGPE) BUT rather than having the Caterpie just reappear behidn you after it falls off screen, you are able to leave it behind if you are careless. A Metapod is stationary, and you can literally just run away from it and after awhile if you don't quickly return to it it disappears and is "released". Flying Pokemon should sit/stand when not in motion rather than constantly be hovering.
Less important:
-I want HMs back. Perhaps as a compromise in the Gen 5 style where you're able to complete the game without HMs, but you lose the enjoy and rewards of exploration if that's something that matters to you. I really dislike the summoned Pokemon thing, just for Alola it was fine because it matches the comical tone of Alola, but it lacks believability and doesn't let the player feel like they are relying on just themselves/their Pokemon. It should only be an Alola gimmick.
- I want a postgame Hilda/Hilbert return, bonus if they're buddied up with N and being super weird. I loved this aspect of SM where many old characters made postgame reappearances. And it's good when it's postgame only (unlike GSC), because it lets the main story be about showcasing the new cast and region.
