I had a dear fluffy orange cat, she was my closest friend ever since we got her as a kitten.
She had similar characteristics like me, anxious, nervous, fearful, affectionate, friendly to those we trust, and I felt an amazing kinship with her.
As a result, I chose to have Skitty be my favorite because she reminded me of my dear friend.
Even evolving her, Delcatty perfectly reflected her, and I felt like no matter what Skitty appeared like, I would love her still.
My cat died a year ago, not long after I got a shiny Skitty named after her.
...I can't capture or use a Skitty without thinking of my cat and becoming extremely sad.
I love her so much, and I love Skitty since she so perfectly fits her, but... it is hard to get over the loss.
