Favorite: Scizor
Reason: I like that it's a cross-gen evolution. There was something really cool about feeling like you understood everything about pokémon and then a new gen comes out and shows that there were things people in-universe weren't aware of. As a kid it was kinda magical.
I also like how Scizor is kinda like a Scyther with new armor instead of "it gets bigger" — in fact I'm pretty sure they have the same total stats, just allocated differently.
Mental health: Things are really good for me — bought a house last year, my girlfriend moved in with me. Job is going well. But COVID and the winter are taking a heavy toll. There's serious dread about so many people just not giving one solitary fuck about the virus, plus the fear of catching it myself. (Even if it has a low rate of complications for someone "healthy" like me.)
Not being able to go out to dinner...having no reason to really go outside at all...can't invite friends over except like once a month, and only the same two friends who take COVID very seriously.
I've lost a lot of motivation for my job. (Been "work from home" status since last March.) Often wake up late. Staying up late doesn't help — leaves me tired all day...until 5pm then suddenly I have plenty of energy to play vidya. Trying to grind BP in Emerald for a Choice Band. Sucks only getting 3 points per Battle Tower run since I get to Battle #20 and the AI takes a shit on my chest.
Anyway, I hope most of the posters in this thread see better times ahead. I will always post nice things on this board and never troll anyone. This isn't the place for that. We're all here to enjoy our monster catchin' series (whether we think the latest games are good or not) — we'll never forget how this series made us feel when we were younger.
