Do you still have an A number one GO TO best pokemon game you can think of? Try and think about it as one you could play a fresh file on and just get to rolling.
For me it's hard I wanna say B/W(or also 2) for the traditional experience catching badgin and bangin babes, then LGPE made for a really smooth sort of experience "I can spend a sunday playing this and get to cinnibar before dinner time." My gut is telling me PLA because of how it plays I beat it once when it leaked and then have been filling out the pokedex on a copy I PAID MONEY FOR. This series is so wild with all the crazy fans one generation has over another but the series also undeniably provides so much mirth for those who play them.
So again if you had to pick one game to start a new file which one and why? I might have to take your advice. because of how people play games these days I might actually point someone new to PLA or LGPE. If it's a "gamer" or someone who enjoys a RPG style game I would send them to B/W in a heartbeat.
