If you look at BW Pokedex, you can see why. GF caved in to the loudest minority, thinking this small group of schizos were the "voice of fanbase". Then BW2 happened and that's the beginning of GF adopting the "if there's no Gen 1 reference in it, it ain't a Pokemon game" docrine.
