Brendan and May as preteen are going to be taller than a child like a Youngster but shorter than a teen like a Lass. their age is communicated by the scaling. and in the same generation all of x and y's equivalent trainer stayed the same size.
And no matter how official you think htey are biographic heights should always be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone that plays fighting games knows bio heights and weights are a meme.
