I started like on release before any of this was figured out so i have very little 100% iv saved, so now im just hoarding everything and passively filling up my dex/lvling up slowly. And if i ever have enough candy to level stuff im just saving it, i have like 1000 magikarp candy now and it makes me sad i wasted400 on a 95% gyarados, i fell for the hype.
