>>49585417Yeah that's a preference thing. I think pokemon is what made me interested in exploring caves and ruins. HM requirements are a pain no matter what. As for pokemon well you can sometimes find rare pokemon in certain caves so it can be rewarding in ways that surfing isn't, but in both cases repel is a requirement. Zubat and geodude are annoying but so are wingull and tentacool. OTOH I personally really like the zubat line. That said, I LOVE the abandoned ship and diving is honestly great. I dislike ORAS but one of the best things it ever did was flesh out diving.
