And I even looked at the first SM trailer and it also changed from release as well.

Konokoni, Malie, Tapu Village, Po Town, Seafolk Village, Heahea, Dividing Peak Tunnel, Poni Plains, Gauntlet, Grove, Meadow, Resolution Cave, Exeggutor Island, Lake of the Moone, Shady House, Ula Meadow, Blush Mountain, Malie Garden, Hano Grand Resort, Memorial Hill, Kala'e Bay, Hau'oli Cemetery, Ultra Jungle, Ultra Crater, Ultra Desert, Ultra Plant, Ultra Forest, Ultra Megalopolis and almost every other non-significant location in Alola have not been explored, visited, or even mentioned, and most likely will never be by the time SM ends. And when it comes to anime only locations, SM has the least amount out of all the series. Alola in the anime is smaller than the fucking Alola in the games.
