>>51156485I hate genwunners despite feeling the older games were better than the new ones, and while I personally agree with your image, Gen 9 is clearly targeting today’s kids. Back in the 90’s, kids were into cool and pseudo-edgy stuff, while nowadays, kids are into comfortably cute and funny stuff.
Gen 9 is alienating the franchise to people like you and me, but I feel it’s done on purpose. The upcoming protagonists are portrayed to be even younger than former protagonists for a reason.
