It's not like they were saving any effort in model-making since AFAIK that 3D model for the game was brand new anyway. Hell if they wanted to keep her iconic look, just give her a new long coat without the fur trim so it doesn't look so goddang heavy. Again, they had to make a new 3d model for this anyway, so it's not like keeping her original look save2yatwd any time or effort.
