Like just settling on base stat distributions of about ~440

I don't care if this makes pokemon with balanced stats in every except for nearly 200 speed and no health, it would at least keep instances of pokemon that are strictly inferior from happening or at least heavily limit them.

And I get that movesets play into this a lot, and occasionally held items do as well as there are some pokemon-specific items that make them infinitely more better than when they don't have the items, but that's just duct taping the poor balance of the game together and calling it good.

Again, I don't expect perfect balance, just... something better than what we have now.

Keep in mind that the more versatile the pokemon and the better its base defense stats are the better it is for the purpose

The movelist obviously should consist of
-Substitute
-Leech Seed/Ingrain/Giga Drain/etc.

And if applicable, any moves that would force a switch or inflict a negative stat on an enemy without being unusable as an attack move (substitute, leech seed, force switch, and confuse ray leaves you with no attack moves)

So, what's the /vp/ take?

I mean, does this look good at all? I got a lot of SA for that leaf storm, I know DG doesn't seem like a good choice, but it could help out a bit against those certain types and other Pokes in general and I like it a bit more than Sludgebomb, because if the opponent gets poisoned, then I'm screwed in Sleep powder.
Should I take away some SA for some D?
