>>24518126>Since it should fit here too, reposting the following from other thread.[[1/3]] The pokémon game that I dream every night would have a more vast world to explore, not something random, it would be similar to Dragon Quest 8 but without all the "filler" spaces, I mean actual environments and ambient with natural inspirations and aesthetics instead of a "blocky minecraft world".
In the start of the game you would chose between Normal Mode and Veteran Mode:
>In the Normal mode it would be similar to older games in terms of difficulty, you would have an easily accessible "memo item" that would remember you what to do, and npcs helping you in your way, the map would be more limited for players kids don't lose their way.>In the Veteran mode the difficult would more challenging, trainers would use more high leveled Pokémon and have better Movesets/EV and even have held items for their respective pokémon at certain point. The areas would have much more space for exploration, too.The game would have a sense of vastness, you would constantly see the horizon in a high place, very different from what we have today, but like I said before, not something random, the region would be divided in two bigger areas: East side and West side.
-After the some cities and story segments you will go to a cave, at the end of this cave you should chose your side (without return), if you chose for example the East side first, this will be where you will do your first 1~4 gyms, where the West side will be gyms 5~8. Depending on which side you chose, the other side will greatly change in the sense of events, story segments, characters and even places (but not at random, this is connected to what you did during the the other side, too).
This would make the game more varying, and greatly increase the replay value by making varying forms of play the game.
