In Platinum, running from the scripted Giratina battle instead of defeating/capturing it will cause the game to progress as normal, and prompts unique dialogue from Cyrus:

In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, a cutscene triggers with your starter Pokémon as you approach the Pokémon League. The cutscene will not trigger if your starter is absent from your party, but it will still trigger if you have your starter but never fully evolved it.
In Sun and Moon, Hau's starter Pokémon is always male. However, in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Hau's Popplio will always be female if you pick Rowlet. Additionally, in Sun and Moon, Kukui's Primarina will always be female if you pick Litten, unlike Hau's in those games.
