>>57883849Hyper Offense is when you build a team around setup sweepers and revenge killers. Think Alakazam, Gyarados, Dragonite, Barraskewda, and Excadrill. The goal is to shit out rocks/spikes on turn 1 and then just hit the gas pedal. Stall acts as a speed bump that causes them to crash, but they can easily break through every other team style.
Offense is when you focus more on raw damage output that can break through any defensive core. Think Volcanion, Crawdaunt, Nidoking, Kyurem, and etc. Pokemon that aren't necessarily fast, but faster than Stall and capable of cracking their armor since they don't rely on momentum as much. You can phaze an Offense team, but whatever you force out is likely going to bust you up just as hard as what you forced out.
Offence is healthier and more fun to play against than HO while also being far faster and interactive than Stall. Smogon pretty much universally favors Offence and Balance for that reason.
