I would only guess that if I was in the pokemon world I would love my job moreso, getting to talk to people and learn knowledge about new pokemon all the time would be fascinating.
For Pokemon I would have, though Psychic might seem like the obvious choice, I'm not a big fan of them and think they would be too "smart" for me. I would stick to normal and fairy types.
Gumshoos would be my partner (my pikachu). I love his grumpy demeanor and how patient and passionate he is on solving "cases." It would be great to have to find missing items or tough research requests.
