>>34218082There are a lot of tutorials for essentials, some are Youtube videos, some are on the wiki or in the essentials demo, others are on other forums and then there's just trial and error if you want to do stuff yourself. Or you can ask people who know more about essentials and if they can help you a little so you know where to start. I don't know if this is the right place to ask anyone, but maybe someone in here can help you with essentials. Or ask on Pokecomunity or whatever.
But tbqh becoming champion sounds a bit silly as a single villain, you could instead go against the league and take down the Gym Leaders, replacing them with sympathizers until you are left with Lance and Red together as the final boss. Maybe add a snag-mechanic because if you want to free Pokemon you wouldn't be above stealing them to use them for your own goals.
But that sounds like a cool idea, maybe you should give essentials try again.
