The entirety of Semifinals I even managed to make literal 6 years old to dislike the m8.
And even after the only decent animated fight we get another recap, followed by another filler, to be complimented with a finals episode getting split in focus.
Journeys had everything needed to be decent, they had 25 years of Video games on their reserves, over dozens and dozens of characters left unused or potentially profitable.
And where did that go? Down the fucking drain.
Only rememberable parts were the m8 fights with gym leaders, old companions and some arora-centric episodes.
They managed to fuck things up that should be impossible. They now hyped the M8 up as the pinnacle of strongest trainers, word-by-word and repeatedly on the start of each M8 episodes. Anything else afterwards with Ash has to take into account the buildup and expectations of it.
They cornered themselves into a corner and right now, the only saving grace is a decade old wish getting served on a uncleaned 4* Plate.
TL;DR: Journey had it all, but never used it.
