Happy new year /nuz/!
I was gonna play Yellow for this run to get all the gens in, but after playing for a few hours and beating Misty I decided that I wasn't having fun. I guess gen 1 just isn't for me so instead I'm staying in gen 3 and running LeafGreen.
Had a bit of bad luck with encounters for Brock as I rolled a Charmander for my starter and didn't get a Mankey. Tried to get through it by setting up Harden on his Geodude with Lowfat the Butterfree so we could paralyse Onix and hurt it enough that Soot could finish it. Unfortunately he used bind to trap us just before I wanted to switch and broke through para to kill Lowfat instead. My hopes of bringing Butterfree to the end were squashed early this time..
>>55174902>>55174991I'll admit that team's a bit rough but I don't think it's impossible if you get your moves sorted out a bit. Respect for going with Golbat and Kingler. Psychic on Snorlax is wild though, what was the idea behind that?
>>55174773Hey nice to see you back at it! Squad's looking cool, fun to see strats like screens and taun being used too. I have a tendency to go ooga booga mode and just use damaging moves.
>>55163024>>55174681Good to see you back too! Slaking was honestly fantastic, it's just such a ridiculously hard hitter that it easily balances out for truant. Would recommend if you get the opportunity to use it in ORAS.
Sad to see your Quilava went down to Bugsy, that Scyther can really be a menace depending on rng. Scyther is a really cool encounter though, even without technician.
>>55174502I think using unconventional stuff is part of the fun of a nuzlocke. Also don't forget you can get evolution stones from the pokeathlon in HGSS.
>>55174354I never do because I think it takes away part of the fun of making do with what I get, but I don't have anything against it.
