Snivy and Rowlet got shafted by the stupid "only one starter evolution" excuse the anime used since giving Sinnoh saga Ash two fully evolved starters was too OP I guess. Chespin was shafted by being owned by Clemont who barely battled in the first place. As for Grookey, I have no idea. Forgot what the excuse was given.

What even is the appeal of the Pokémon games? They've always been piss easy, they're all RNG shitfests which is why any attempt at making it 'competitive' becomes an autistic banfest because the games simply are not made to be competitive, the graphics were always lackluster, the story is a meme when it even exists, so why do they constantly sell multi millions? Do the designs really carry the series that hard?

Why did the Champion battle themes start becoming less of a battle theme and more of a celebration theme since Gen 5? Like instead of sounding like you're facing the ultimate challenge in the game it sounds like a victory theme as if you already won which has always been odd to me as shouldn't the celebratory music come when you active, you know, win, as opposed to during the fight? The only one to buck this trend is Kieran's champion theme but that one is also mixed with Kieran being the 'antagonist' of the DLC which muddies the waters on if this is simply a one off and GF will continue with the non-imposing champion battle themes or not. What makes this odder is that the Elite 4 battle themes have remained tense.

Is Muk an objectmon? It just never seemed like an actual distinction but rather something arbitrarily assigned to deride certain Pokémon.

To this day I have no idea how I managed to get stuck there since I distinctly remember starting a new save file after I got bored of grinding on route 36 and progressing as normal afterword.
