The reason people do not like pokefags is because pokefags think pokemon has a monopoly on monster games.
Its like shitting on shazam because you think it is a superman copy or not liking spider-man because superman exists.
Most people agree that pokemon has the superior games while digimon is the superior anime.
I also go so far as to say that this is something only Americans did since digimon was far bigger in Europe and outside the US. Also none of that pokemon VS digimon BS was in my country people usually where into pokemon and digimon the same way people can be into superman and spiderman.
I think this is the result of Fox making Digimon as a direct competitor to Pokemon outside the US these shows where on the same network the same way you can get sailor moon and another magical girl show.
