Too afraid at first to give any real affection at first out of the fear that it'll all be worth nothing if you just end up leaving him behind, but after realising that you're not going anywhere (which would take, again, a whole lot of time and a whole lot of telling him that you care), he'd be like a damn lap dog, completely unable to stop himself from giving you all the love he's got!
