My favorite games in the series are Emerald and HGSS. Gen 1 is legitimately boring, gen 2 is also boring until halfway through then it gets a little good, gen 3 is fucking amazing, gen 4 is meh at best, gen 5 was 5/5 mastapeece, gen 6 was shitty and boring (worst of them all), and gen 7 was just a fucking rehash of gen 6. Everything is too easy now a days and it's been casualified to shit. Pokémon go might've revitalized the franchise and made it a bit more mainstream, but it only served to make everything worse IMO.
How hard is it to ask for a really hard game with an actual okay story and a good selection of pokémon instead of the worst they can find. It really disappoints me that it has come to this.
Also the chibi characters drive me fucking insane, how hard can it be to make them proportioned like normal fucking human beings or atleast a little more normal than the tiny-bodied, big-eyed fucking freaks we have now.
I feel like nintendo/gamefreak/creatures should try to hand the license out kinda like they did with colosseum and XD so they can fucking see how it's done, instead of the shit they've been pumping out for the last 5 years approx.
