I hate the forced Americanization of the anime by the dubbing (Obviously Japanese characters with western names or the famous donuts), but I also hate the Japaneseization of foreign places such as Unova, Alola, and Kalos by the writers of the anime (ninja villages in pokefrance, not liberty statue in pokeamerica, or who the hell takes curry as camp food in pokehawaii?).
From my point of view, the dubbing should respect the source material and the anime staff should have done their research on foreign countries.
