Koa's yukata is fashioned after Gyarados. His mom's is fashioned after a shiny Gyarados. Koa's dad thinks he's too old to wear anything fancy (they're both in their late 40s).
This is also the first time I've ever drawn Koa's mom, I think. She could be a distant relative of Drasna or something. I also want to draw (and write) more Koa interactions with the rest of the Alola cast.
He crushes hard on Mallow and has an initially competitive bromance with Kiawe. Lana likes pranking him.
