First, Psyshock falls on it's ass in higher level play because everyone knows how it works and can juke it.
Secondly, compare it to another pokemon who's somewhat similar. This is actually pretty fucking hard, because both Gar's auto and confusion are uniquely shitty. But probably the best comparison you're going to get is Venusaur, another ranged "caster".
At level 7 Venu gets Solarbeam which hits just as hard as Psyshock and it's far easier/quicker to hit (not to mention DAT RANGE).
>B-but psyshock is at 6And see, that's the problem. Raltz is infamously garbage and thus anyone who any real knowledge of it is going to bully her shit hard. Because confusion is so CONFUSINGLY low damage, Ralts cannot really last hit nor can he really zone anyone out.
Bulbasaur doesn't have much but he at least has two attacks and a *very* spicy boosted attack that hits like a truck, so last hitting is pretty easy for him. It is very likely that a Venusaur player will gain an exp advantage and have solar around the same time as a Gardevoir gets psyshock (also his other ability).
I mean I like the slut too bro, but she's just a casual mode pick.
