A few things that could maybe be changed/added:
Like the other anon said about Sofia being mistaken for Ricardo, maybe they can just notice you have the orb in your inventory. Then ask if you are the bandit who made off with it.
Also I would suggest to leave out Psy/Fi Sisters, you already have a few Gym Leaders involved in the Plot. That is just sort of my personal preference though, the 3 or so main ones you have involved seems good enough too me.
last thing I would suggest is to give a sort of ending fate for Northington. I was always a fan of the Midas Touch ending, where he turns into a golden statue. Maybe refusing to leave the area, and is trapped in the Golden City Area by falling rubble. And post game when you dive down to the golden city(maybe most of it is deep underwater except a few areas where you emerge to find items and finally Xotec?) you find a statue along the way, when interacted with it says something along the lines of "Looks familiar somehow but isn't recognizable.". Then after all the Quetz fights and stuff happens it could either portray Northington two ways depending on what people like. Professor Mangrove could say to you at one point that the Scientific Community is ecstatic with his findings even though he seems to have disappeared. Or Mangrove/Champ could come to you and say everything is returning to a normal/peaceful state and that even though the world may not know that you saved it that you should feel proud or some meaningful speech to make you feel good, but also giving off the impression that what Northington was trying to find is still shrouded in mystery.
