>>50068251Young man, the reason for that is because you people force me to take up the mantle of zozzle, the small time honest to God man who posts cute little pictures of Ninetales, nothing more and nothing less.
It's also not about what me or you want, It's about recognizing what Pokémon *are* and their role in the franchise. Sure, Pokémon exhibit human-like behavior but so does every other fictional critrer, a point I make and people simply cry about it because they can't conceptualize such a simple concept. It's as to why this crowd needs to hear it from behind the scenes because people here are too entrenched in their own inanity which is why the blog of the former headwriter of the anime has been a treasure trove for me since in his reflections on Pokémon he talks about concepts that I have touched on in the past. You want to know why Pokémon act human-like? It's not because they’re meant to be intelligent, civilized races, nor because they're meant to be alien or yokai or even monsters. The headwriter that gave us concept that people love to cite like the talking meowth makes it fairly clear here. And it's not just this, games like New Pokémon Snap and Arceus exist to even further develop this concept. The games have even gone as far as to refer to Pokémon as wild creatures and pets, not people. No Pokémon represents a human being nor a person, it's all very open about it but again simple concepts are lost on you.
Either way it matters *not*. No one needs to heed to your special pleading, there's no reason for Ash's mom to date her pet mime-like creature, Pokémon just isn't that type of series no matter how much you want it to be.
Verily, take your inanity to /trash/. There you may discuss how much you want to groom your fictional pet to your heart's content. See the happy face of a time honored happy ninetales with many honorific titles and do her this *one* favor.
