>>51204045The worst thing about USUM had to be Lillie being canonized as a Fairy specialist. It's one of the reasons why I prefer her anime incarnation. Her and Vulpix are practically MADE for each other! Also SM's story is surprisingly compelling given the annoying cutscenes, and I attribute that entirely to Lusamine and the ending. Ultra Beasts were never that important Lusamine's story, their research was a catalyst for her crazy that could narratively be swapped out with anything and their collective inclusion in the main game didn't add anything that Nihilego already satisfied. Finally, Lillie's bittersweet departure at the end is the perfect foil to your tropical paradise vacation. It just doesn't feel right to have everything be so peachy and consequence-free after such an intense adventure.
