That being said, Whitney caused a fair few problems, killing both Malt Loaf and Egg Waffle. I also caught a Weedle with Magnitude and Recover. My incompetence let it be killed before it even levelled up once. What a waste.
Caterpie is real good, though. I suspect they're one of the two pseudo legendary lines that the tool generates. Plus, the TMs are randomised too, so if one of the TMs is EQ/etc or a recovery move there's a good chance Caterpie will be able to learn it.
Trainers are starting to use pre-determined movesets, though, which the tool doesn't randomise. The rival's water type Quilava has started using Ember.
