I went here only for a Team Up prerelease since I thought it might be fun to finally get some paper cards just to collect the dust. Also I was really interested with sealed. I talked with local players a little and it turned out they play super competitive only. I asked them why not hold their micro penises a little to make some space for new players but they told me they didn't spend hundreds of dollars on meta decks to self-nerf for some newbies.
On digital, there are no separate queues for casual and competitive. If you enter Expanded or Standard with a 0 win streak it's quite common to face a full-build Reshizard or Pikarom deck as your first opponent or as your second opponent and third as well.
I wish PTCGO had a free play mode for junk. Of course we will never get it since with every update TPCi is cutting off a little bit of PTCGO client - slice by slice.
