that's the point, anon. the eyes are out of the face. that's how bored she is, her face is exaggerated. japanese people do this all the time in their art. her whole pose is all about how she supposedly doesn't care.
see pic related. it's obviously a shitty example, but whatever. in this pic, they grab their facial features and exaggerate them to make them look even more scared (no chin, mouth almost outside the body, eyes way too exaggerated, etc). gothielle on the other hand has its eyes "out" of the face to look like "are you really serious, dude?". that whole attitude. so the "bad design" has a point to it. they didn't just go like "eh who cares, stupid line anyway". they obviously were trying to go somewhere with this. it has thought into it, every detail enhances the whole idea of the subculture thing, it a rebellious chick that doesn't care. the teardrop face is precisely to exaggerate the fact that the girls usually try to make their faces look smaller and cuter, even if it's completely out of proportion, it's a small, symmetrical face, but with huge eyes, to really make you look at them and go like "uh, she's trying to intimidate me in a silly way, like these girls do".
and again, i get that you don't like it, but at least this has thought into it. hypno has like zero thought. it's just a creepy yellow something. it's not even particularly creepy or anything. it's just there, and it's yellow. there's like zero thought into this. means nothing to me. i get that it's well drawn and everything, but at least they could've given it some thought. the way it is it's like man, it's boring.
