Adventure: classic to say the least but not exactly the highest point of the show.
02: in my opinion better. Great story (except the sudden big bad reveal but I guess Adventure did that too) and I loved the armor digivolutions.
Tamers: quality-wise the best in the series. A-star plot, even the dub is excellent. Great characters and concepts. Only series I've managed to rewatch multiple times a year.
Frontier: sentimentally my favourite series. I feel that it's majorly underrated and people jump on the "LEL POWER RANGERS XD" bandwagon with no prior knowledge of the show. I haven't seen much of the dub, but the Japanese version was amazing. The locations and soundtrack were highlights for me. After I finished the sub I actually BOUGHT the physical OST CD.
Data Squad: Somewhat underrated. Ill admit it was the worst of them all but it was still...all right. Majorly kiddiefied by the dub, but I saw the first few episodes of the sub and that was actually pretty good. The thing I liked best about this series is a bit more personal. Here in the UK we didn't get it until about 2010, where it was aired on some virtually unknown channel with a new episode every week. I hadn't had the pleasure of coming home from school to watch a new episode of digimon since Tamers was on fox kids so this was kind of a big deal for me.
Xros Wars: I'm torn between Tamers, frontier and this as my number one favourite. This one has everything: great characters, amazing visuals (ESPECIALLY transformation sequences), amazing soundtrack (I own a few of the insert song CDs) and Im praying that Saban does a good job with the dub (they have said in a press release that their target audience is 2-11 which worries me)
The second series of xros wars....it was tolerable. Not as good as other series of digimon but alright. The last few episodes were the single best thing of my life though.
Overall: fuck Pokémon. Digimon will always be the top mon in my heart.
